A grass roots effort is gaining momentum as thousands of nervous parents across the country call on their elected representatives to make public their position on the draft. Mothers Against the Draft (MAD), a new non-profit organization with growing chapters in every state, is at the forefront of the fight to get some straight answers from Congress.

National Effort Launched to Stop Reinstatement of the Draft
SPARKS, NEVADA, – On Monday, February 14, 2005, Mothers Against the Draft will officially launch a nationwide effort to head off any possible move toward military conscription. “Our website is up at www.mothersagainstthedraft.org and we are ready to go,” said Janine Hansen, National Chairman of Mothers Against the Draft.
